Josh Wanta | President

In fall of 2006, after more than 17 years’ experience in new-home construction, Josh Wanta founded Legacy Custom Remodeling and focused his passion for high-end, custom work on remodeling. Josh began his career working alongside his father and credits his father and grandfather with instilling in him the dedication to quality and detail so noticeable in his work. He now leads a team of other talented tradesmen and continues to build in a way that both honors his past and endures for generations to come. A woodworker at heart, he especially enjoys spending time in his workshop, here he designs and crafts heirloom-quality woodwork to be placed in his clients’ homes.

Free In-Home Consultation

Perfect if you’re exploring possibilities and want to talk through your vision without any commitment. In-home or virtual visit to review your space and goals

Discussion of scope, zoning, site specifics, and rough budgeting
Preliminary guidance and answers to your questions
No cost, no obligation — simply a helpful conversation

40-Hour Design & Planning Engagement

This is a great way to begin larger or more complex projects when you want detailed plans and pricing clarity before committing to full construction.Up to 4 focused meetings (1–2 hours each) for reviews and revisions

Verified on-site measurements by our team
Preliminary to final drawings: floor plans, elevations, and perspectives
Comprehensive project quote based on your approved design
Professional plans you receive (usable even if you choose another contractor)
Additional time billed at $110/hour; licensed A/E drawings and reimbursables extra

At the conclusion of the design phase, we can seamlessly refine the drawings into full construction documents if you decide to move forward with Legacy Custom Remodeling.

Both paths reflect our commitment to helping you make informed decisions and avoid surprises during the remodeling process. Many clients start with the free consultation and later move into the Design & Planning Engagement when they’re ready for detailed drawings. Others choose the paid engagement upfront for maximum clarity from the start.

Our Process

Meeting

We will begin with an on-site or virtual consultation with one of our Project Managers to get a sense of the scope of work and better understand your project vision.
Design

We will plan and design your project. Depending on the scope of work of your project, services during this phase may include conceptual & interior drawings, architectural plans, structural engineering.
Quote

You will receive a fully itemized quotation that also includes a complete scope of work.
Work Begins

After you have approved our quote, and we obtain the necessary permits from the city, we will begin construction.
Completion

The final inspection, final walkthrough, and your approval of the work to ensure you are satisfied with the work.
